WHAT ARE FLIES COSTING YOU??
Horn flies bite your cattle between 20 to 40 times a
day and can consume up to a gallon of blood per
day. You have to wonder just how much feed it takes
to replace a gallon of blood?? To get relief from this
biting, cattle will quit grazing and seek shelter in the
shade. The result of this will be a weight loss of up
to a 1/2 pound per day. Milk production may be
reduced from 10 to 20%. The horn fly is North
America's most pervasive and costly external cattle
parasite. Horn flies live 2 to 4 weeks. They are not
strong fliers. It is difficult for them to fly a 1/4 to a
1/2 mile. As long as they have ahost available they
rarely venture off. We have several products that
we offer that can help in your program to reduce
the effect of the face fly and the horn fly. Face flies
can cause problems with pink eye. Our products are
